Anyone know of any reason why I'm dreaming much more vividly since starting my treatment?

You have to tell us what your treatment is first...
what you're taking, how long you've been on it, and any other pertinent info.

I am taking citalopram and amitriptyline. Started on them about 5 weeks ago following multiple pulmonary embolli, pneumonia and pleurisy. I was very seriously ill for a couple of weeks and was put on the antidepressants to help me cope with what had happened.

SSRIs like citalopram often cause vivid dreaming, for reasons that aren't entirely clear. They cause increased density of REMs in REM sleep, and also can cause brief nighttime awakenings (so brief that you don't remember waking up but you may be more likely to recall your dreams).
