hiwondering if there is any truth in the idea that schizophrenia skips a generation or at least whether a third generation person's chances of having the condition are increased.
(ps for those kind people who gave me advice when i was having "rushes" from dexamphetamine 3-4 months after I took it once, it did eventually go away with the help of beta blockers and a bit of time) If anyone has any idea why I might be so hypersensitive to meds, not just dex but ssris, beta-blockers, snris and a host of other things i would also be interested.

Although myself and my 2 siblings "dodged the bullet", I suffer from major depression and my sister is bipolar. My brother, although he has minor problems with social anxiety, seems to be OK. My sister has 2 children (13 and 18). They received good parenting and seem to be well adjusted but, genetically speaking, time will tell. Hope this helps.
