I've read everything about buspar on that board, and find no positive comments. I wonder if someone, even on person, had a good result with it ?

Hi,
I've been on Buspar for several weeks now, I take it against anxiety and I can say my anxiety is lowered and I feel a bit more calm than before. It does not have the same anti-anxious power as the benzos of course, but instead it is not habit forming. It takes maybe one or a few weeks before you respond. Anyway, I'm not fully satisfied with the med.
It does have strong side effects(for me) that lasts few hours after intake, which are fatigue and dizziness. Pretty annoying because I have to take one dose at morning and does certainly not help you wake up

Buspar has worked well for me for several years, in a moderate way. It reduces my tendency to react to stress with unreasonable anger and/or a sudden crashing depression. It's also said to help with other A/Ds. I did have a communication form one other person several years ago who also found the combination of Serzone and Buspar that i was using at the time very helpful.
It is always worth a try, if your dr. or pdoc is suggesting it. It worked almost immediately for me (but give it a couple of weeks to be fair), with very slight side effects, and if it doesn't work it's very easy to stop - little or no withdrawal effects.

well, I think i'll give it (buspar) a try. I'll tell the results on that board in one or two weeks.

Hi,
I've been on Buspar for over 1 year now, with no extremely heinous s.e. At doses over 90mg, can be way too sedating, but, at 15 BID... everything's good. Low anxiety, and I just found out it seems to be fairly successful with ADHD related problems. (Only prob. is no grapefruit juice..can raise drug levels in blood. But this doesn't qualify as a side effect, just a minor annoyance). Best of Luck, Lindsey
