I used to use about 200 mg for sleep. It works really well in that respect. I don't know how well it works for psychosis, though, cause I don't have that. I had no side-effects or drowsiness taking 200 mg at bedtime.

Any meds that antagonize dopamine receptors such as Seroquel mess with hormones-prolactin especially. Also Seroquel can alter thyroid hormones. If you are serious about taking them for the first time and you don't have psychosis for symptoms make damn sure you get some blood workup done first-thyroid profile, other hormones, etc. and then get it checked again after you have been on it for a while.

Seroquel really helped me. Last year, I was going through a very painful time in my life and started having emotional problems, including anxiety attacks and severe insomnia. I could not sleep for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time and was totally burned out by the time I went for help. Seroquel calmed me down and let me sleep. It didn't work immediately, but once it kicked in, it was a real blessing.

Gracie
Are you still on Seroquel? Did you stop taking it? If you did, did you have insomnia?
