Hello, I just want to say to everyone that the insanity does eventually end. I stopped going off effexor and for two weeks thought I was in hell with the symptoms I read many people have. With a positive attitude (thinking, no I am not insane and this will end) exercise, patience and support from loved ones I now feel great again. I think the worst is over and I am ready to go on with my life...without another antidepressant again! Good luck to you all going off the pill....be patient and positive!!

WOW, is this thread ever COMFORTING - I am in the beginning stages of having stopped Effexor after a gradual taper, and eeeek, I have awful electric head and increased rebound anxiety. The first few days I was fine and thought I was home free, but nope. I am going to ride this out and hope for the day when these symptoms will have passed. It's so *good* to hear of your success going off Effexor. Thanks for sharing it.
