Rose,
Thank you for sharing your pain.
If you are serious about ending it all and you have a plan please go to the hospital emergency room. Don't even question it. Your life is worth this measure of care.
Suicidal thoughts are common for us. I know I've had them. I do know that if I am serious and I have a plan I must get medical help immediately.
I hear your cry for help. I'm sorry you lost your father. I'm sure that your father would want you to be alive and well and to make it through your grief process.
Take care.

Rose, ending it all resolves nothing, and ultimately causes a great deal of pain and suffering for any other family members you may have. I lost my mother to cancer, and I know the kind of grief one can feel, especially if you are already suffering depression or some other illness. However, situations can change in your life for the better as quickly as the bad came on. If you are seriously harboring suicidal ideations, then go to an emergency room right now!Call 911. You may feel like your world has collapsed upon you, but killing yourself will in no way improve that. You can get the help you need, and obviously you want it, or you wouldn't have wasted the time posting this message. Go now, get someone to listen to you. There are SO MANY people that will gladly help you with no strings attached. Isn't it worth a try? What do you have to lose? Don't close the book on your life until you read all the chapters. Good luck, and let me know what else you may need to hear.

Rose,
What helps me when I feel like that is to remember, this is just a *feeling.* An awful one, and in some ways a natural one to arise in depression and grief. . .but as you know, it passes. . .if you just ride it out, sit gently and lightly with it.
The important thing is not to take terribly seriously the fact that the thought or feeling has occured to one; this adds a whole nothing layer of feeling terrible and panicked which in the end is a terrible unkindness to oneself.
Hope this helps,
Zo

Rose-
Please e-mail me if you wish to talk. I'm not a professional but I've had a great deal of experience dealing with this - death of loved ones and suicidal feelings - which I have been hospitilized for - but I'm doing better now.
Hang on- Gracie
