Do you take any meds?
Which ones?Just curious. Graves I've had for six years, but the Fibro is a new thing for me.
Since is a neurotransmitter/brain chemistry kind of thing, I would think meds would (might) be important.
Thanks for feedback,
Patti

Hi Patti: I have had fibro for 15 years. What I have found worked for me are Sinequan (doxepin,an anti-depressant) but it caused too much weight gain for me -- depakote, which I am back on at 500 mg/day--a muscle relaxant"Soma" which I reserved for severe muscle pain when tylenol/aspirin/motrin didn't work-- yoga --chiropractic adjustments in some ways -- massage therapy for 1 hour at least monthly--using a tennis ball between your back and a wall while standing up and pressing in order to put pressure on the trigger point(s) until they relax. Good luck, Donna

My mom has fibromyalgia and takes Elavil(amytriptiline) it does help a little but she's afraid to increase the dosage. I think it would help her more if she did.> Do you take any meds?

Forgot to mention Depakote. I have taken 250-750 mg/day for most of the last 1 1/2 years.I am presently on 500 mg /day and it has helped immensely with my fibro and headaches. Donna

Hi Patti, I have CFS/FM, take Dexedrine, for pain and energy; Neurontin which is terrific for FM flare-ups/pain, mostly don't have 'em anymore; Effexor, my AD mainstay. Also experimenting right now with atpycal APs, seem to help my writing.
Best,
Zo
