I have been on topomax 175 mg 75 in morning and 100 at night. in 6 weeks I have lost 53 lbs. I was put on the wellbutrin for depression and the topomax for bulimia. because if I kept up with the bulimia while on the bulimia I could very well have a stroke or seizure. I will tell you what I love topomax I have struggled with bulimia since I was 13 yrs old. and now I can live without it I hate food now. The only thing I can handle is yougart, fruit, and pasta. And for a person that would only drink diet coke (we are talking a case 24 cans a week) I only drink water about 6 liters a day now and 3 cups of coffee now. and I have more energy. I am walking an hour every day and biking 30 minutes a day. So for anyone out there that thinks there is no hope ......I am here to tell you there is. ....by the was i have gone from a size 22 to a size 14 in the 6 weeks also. and I am not as depressed also.....if anyone would like to talk about any of this please e mail I would love to support you.
