Posted by medeena k on June 12, 2001, at 13:06:28

i have been suffering from OCD for a long time now, but recently it has become worse. it is affecting my day-to-day existence considerably! i have tried tons of different medications that are supposed to help. some have helped for a very short period of time, then it seems to get even worse.
anyone out there with this "problem", i would appreciate any help or comments you can throw my way!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Zoloft has worked wonders for me, although I am getting close to poop-out. All of the SSRIs *should* help. Also, you could try some combos.

All medicines that have potent effects on serotonin will treat OCD. The most potent one is clomipramine. A secret that few know is that Neurontin and Lamictal also work on serotonin, and thus could be effective for OCD.
