Sexual Side Effects From Medication?

Posted by IEatPillowTags on May 21, 2001, at 22:10:27

If this topic is a little uncomfortable, obscene, or offending for anybody, I apologize. Ok, so this worries me just a TAD bit. Here's the problem. about a year ago (june-september) me and my exgirlfriend used to have sex all the time. I used to go anywhere from an hour and a half to two and a half hours. At the time I was taking both Wellbutrin, or Dexedrine, but at different times (june-august, august-september). Now me and my current girlfriend are having sex abit (like 3-4 times a week average) and the first time me and her had sex, I went the normal two and a half hours. Now, the second time, I only went about 20 minutes. Now I'd be lucky to make it past 10-15 minutes. Currently I am taking Concierta (The time release Ritalin stuff, however it's spelt). I'm hoping to find out the source of the problem and hopefully find a fix to it cause this is really begining to disappoint/upset me (although my girlfriend doesn't mind, surprisingly. She's really good about stuff like that and seems understanding to everything. she's so nice/good to me :D ). If anyone has any idea of what may be the problem or how to fix it, even if it's just the slightest bit of info, please tell me. Thanks for any help I get.

Paxil is in the process of being approved for premature ejaculation, but clomipramine has been used for that purpose for many years. It must be taken 2 hours before sex to be effective.

hmm. well I did take Paxil, but that was a long time ago. (probably around december.) and I'm just recently having this problem. Is it possible that it is a prolonged effect? Any ways to fix that if so?

Ginkgo works for me. I take 60 mg twice a day. One can go up to 120 mg twice a day. But you should not take it if you have or develope bleeding problems. It may take a few weeks to work. (It worked for me after 2 days).

cool. thanks. I wonder if the medicine has anything to do with it. maybe it's stress or something else?

Listen, Tags,re: your original post, coitus that goes for 20 minuites would be heaven for the average mortal. Two and a half hours! seems almost inconceivable. You'd think your dick would wear out.
