I've been taking lofepramine (210mg daily) for just over 2 weeks, if anything I feel worst, this is both frustrating and confusing. Any views or explainations.
Previous to this I've trying various SSRI with similar effects

The SSRIs are all the same; if one doesn't work, the chances of another working are not too good. Perhaps you could move on to venlafaxine.

sorry this isn't going to help much but I feel for you because i had a similar disappointing response from the same dose of the TCA lofepramine and gave it a good 4 weeks at that dose before calling it quits.I'm now on Efexor XL and this too is having a very questionable impact and I'm stuck for where to go next, although have received much advice from this board.
Most people on here are advocating augmenting the efexor, but my UK Doc appears unwilling to support this.
The lofepramine was introduced to me after a non response to seroxat (paxil).
Which SSRIs did you try and for how long?Maybe two weeks is not long enough for you, but if it's anything to go by, the extra two weeks I gave it were a waste of time and energy.
Good luck to you whatever your decision
Paul

I have been taking Lofepramine (2x70mg at night) for two weeks now and am feeling a little better - thankfully with none of the hellish side effects of paxil or prozac. However, my sleep has become even more disturbed than normal and while I have no problem getting to sleep I wake 6-7 times in the night, have huge difficulty getting back to a light and unrestful sleep. This is really compromising the progress that I feel the Lofepramine has given. Can anyone tell me if this is a side effect which will abate in time??
This is the end of the thread.
