If you have an Internet connection and a Macintosh (or another computer with a sound card and a speaker), you should be set. If you don't already have the QuickTime software that you'll need, both Macintosh and Windows versions are available for *free* at: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download . Just fill in the form there and click "Download QuickTime". If any of you give this a try, please let me know how what you think. We need (continued) feedback. Thanks!Bob

I have the quicktime player but when I clicked the picture and the quicktime opened it didnt play and the connection timed out and I couldnt watch the video, do you need a fast connection to watch it?

You shouldn't. There are different versions for slow and fast connections, and you should get the right one automatically. To make sure, though, it wouldn't hurt to check your Preferences, under Connection Speed.
Which reminds me, it wouldn't hurt also to go into your Preferences, under Streaming Transport, and click on "Auto Configure"...
It turns out that server's being moved, too, so it may just have been bad timing. It worked for me just now, give it another try? Thanks for your interest,
Bob
PS: If none of that helps, let me know what your Connection Speed is set at and which particular GR you're trying...

Dr. Bob,
I have a simillar problem as Swiss. When I double click on the picture for any of the particular presentations, Quicktime comes up and attempts to connect. However, within a few seconds QT displays: "10061 Connection Failed". I have had this problem from the very first time I tried to access the Grand Rounds a few months ago.
You're too busy to give this much of your attention. I'll try to figure it out on this end when I can get to it. However, if you hear of a solution from another user, please forward it my way.
Thanks much!
