I noticed the message with regards to a rash caused by some other meds. I seem to have a rash that comes and goes on my trunk and it seems to have started to appear when I stared taking nardil. Any similar reactions/solutions??

I have this from Nardil, too. Anyone have a solution?

I know this may sound a bit strange but cream used for babies' nappy rash actually works really well. I think it's just a vitamin A cream - worked for me otherwise.

Its been many years since I've taken Nardil, but I too developed a rash. At first, Nardil was my wonder drug. I felt absolutely amazing on it for a period of two months. In retrospect, I probably was a bit manic. Unfortunately, the effects slowly dissipated and I tried increasing the dossage. I developed hand tremors so severe that I had trouble feeding myself. That's also when the rash appeared. Since the positive effects had fully dissipated by this time, I stopped using the drug altogehter.
I did try Nardil again several years later, but it just didn't have the pop that it once had, albeit fleeting. I would recommend lowering the dossage and supplementing. Check out a few of the past posting for possible supplementary medications. As I'm assure you are aware, supplementing while on Nardil can be very dangerous and must be done under a DR's care. However, I believe the past posting will provide creative suggestions that my indeed be safe and not tried or even considered by your Dr. Good luck my friend!

I`ve just discovered this thread. I have been taking Nardil for a little over a year (maybe 14 months), and I have developed a rash on my arms. I also started on Lamotragine about 9 months ago, and I know that this medication can also cause a rash. I cn`t actually pinpoint when the rash first showed up, but in retrospect, I think it appeared around the time that I started on the Nardil. It would be very helpful if someone could describe the nature of their rash; mine takes the form of little spots over my forearms and upper arms. These are like the kind that can appear on your face, only smaller. I.e., they have `heads` on them. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I really hate this rash because, although it causes no real physical discomfort, I am very self-concious about it. Can anyone help?Anna.
This is the end of the thread.
