My pdoc gave me salagen to augment imipramine. It's used for dry mouth but he said it should enhance the imipramine and help my depression. I can't find much on this drug. Has anyone else been given this drug? ANy info? Thanks.

In reply to salagen anyone?, posted by downer on February 28, 2001, at 20:16:09
I was on that drug while on Parnate. It works very well, but has to be taken three times a day--unlike whatever the PDR says. I've never heard of it augmenting antidepressants, though. Urecholine is the other option if Salagen doesn't work.
