Help! I took Effexor for a few years and then switched to Effexor XR (150mg/day). While it helps my depression, it also erases all interest in sex. Has anyone found any relief from this side effect? Also, my husband and I plan on starting a family in a couple of years, but I have not had any success researching the effect of Effexor XR on pregnancy.

Hi,
does this mean that the normal Effexor will not cause sexual dysfunction, but the XR will? I'm probably switching to it in a month.
I haven't had an orgasm with my boyfriend since Jan 1999 when I first started AD's (Prozac) - within a week I couldn't feel anything. All of them, wellbutrin, serzone, celexa, prozac, trazodone, etc. etc. caused sexual dysfunction (everything went 'numb'). Doesn't make much for a close relationship .... :-(
