Dr. Bob: Serzone - Intentional Tremor link?

Posted by Therese on November 9, 2000, at 3:51:11

I tried Serzone briefly a year ago for Fibromyalgia and CFS. I had to stop when I developed a severe tremor in my neck and right arm. The tremors seemed to stop when I quit Serzone, but they have returned intermittantly and are occouring more frequently and are becoming more intense. I was only on Serzone for a few weeks, and have not been on anything but Claritin since then. Does anyone know if this could be a residual side affect and if so, is this long term or permanent?

BTW, I have had my chiropractor do some basic tests in his office, all my nerve and strength tests fall within normal, and believes that since this is intentional and the absence of other symptoms, this is probably not Parkinson's or MS. The only other possible cause that comes to mind is neurological trauma from the accident two years ago that I have been treating with him for. That would be reaching a bit I think since the impact was at low speed and seems to have just caused cervical and thoracic stiffness and pain, but what do I know? Unless I have developed yet another orphan disease that I will spend the next lifetime in doctors' offices looking for answers for...
