GETTING DUMB !

Posted by rogdog on November 6, 2000, at 11:19:05

I AM ON SEROQUEL AT ONLY 25.MG. AND I CANT BELEIVE HOW DUMB THIS DRUG IS MAKING ME FEEL.. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A MEDICATION TO AUGMENT SEROQUEL, IS IT SAFE TO AD , MABEY SELEGILINE OR WOULD THAT NOT BE A GOOD IDEA SINCE ONE IS AN AGONIST AND THE OTHER IS AN ANTAGONIST OF THE SAME SYSTEM? IHAVE ALOT OF ANXIETY AND USSUALLY STIMULANTS MAKE IT WORSE, BUT IS THE STIMULATING EFFECT OF (SELEGILINE) OR ANOTHER TYPE OF MEDICATION ACTUALLY HELP ANXIETY? IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SEROQUEL AND AMISULPIRIDE, I HAVE READ ON MESSAGES ON THIS BOARD THAT AMISULPIRIDE HAS HELPED WITH SOCIAL ANXIETY AND OTHER PROBLEMS. I DONT SEE THAT HAPPENING WITH SEROQUEL. ANY INPUT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.. RDOG

Amisulpride is far superior in my personal experience. If anything it seems to enhance mental cognition rather than cause dumbing. And in the lower dose range used for treating depression and/or the negative symptoms of schizophrenia, it is not usually sedating, but rather somewhat activating instead. Without anxiety.

Seroquel and all the other drugs in its class affect a whole variety of different receptor sites, accounting for the side effects. Amisulpride on the other hand is very specific in targeting just a couple dopamine receptors with no action on anything else. Things like social anxiety, apathy, anhedonia, general depression, etc, can all roughly be related to the negative symptoms of schizophrenia, either directly or indirectly. Amisulpride is effective for all of those symptoms, regardless of the particular diagnosis. And no sedation. I am an Amisulpride fan because it has worked so well with so few, if any, side effects. When I use it I feel comfortable around people, confident, interested in activities, somewhat energized, and free of depression and anxiety. Just my opinion, and just my own experience, but I would immensely prefer Amisulpride over Seroquel.

If you are considering the switch, a reliable source of Amisulpride is www.farmaciacerati.it, an Italian mailorder pharmacy. You will have to email them your request for price and procedure to order. They usually reply in about a day. I believe in Italy they call it Deniban? I like this pharmacy because one shipment I got from them arrived at my doorstep just one week after I ordered it. I was impressed with their fast professional service.

Greetz to rogdog.

I told you in a previous post that the best thing you can do with that CHEMICAL PUNISHMENT
is to drop kick it into the nearest river, although you may be charged with pollution.

These doctors should TAKE their own medicine to experience the angst their patients go
through with these chemical sledgehammers.

I remain, a chemically free ...
