Prozac Withdrawals...

Posted by George Fero, Jr. on October 10, 2000, at 13:17:26

Hello.

Decided to stop taking Prozac...I've only been on it for seven days at 20mg a day. Will there still be withdrawal symptoms? I've already experienced the brightness and blankness and anorexia and nausea and wonder if I've got more in store if I just quit now(I'm going to start exercising and eating properly etc. as an alternative...I'm only on it for ADHD/Anxiety...)

Opinions? -Thanks.

Prozac tends to be one of the easiest AD's to withdraw from since it stays in your system longer than many others. Some people keep their depression at bay by taking Prozac every other day or every third day, etc.

Even so, I would taper down to every other day for a week or so. You shouldn't have many side effects, but the operative word here is SHOULDN'T.

Good luck.
