Hi again,
I'm confused ... reading up on the MAOI diet and I don't want to mess with anything in terms of dietary restrictions, I just want to abide by the list as best as I can. Starting in three days ..... tick .... tick ...... tick.....
The major problem I am having is with dairy products / etc -
soy milk (low fat)
milk (1%)
rice milkAlso, ice milk or sorbet or any sweet frozen ice-cream-like products.
I am a huge soy milk drinker and I realize now that I have to give up the protein supplements, the sushi (**weep**), the tofu, etc. I'm just confused as to what to use with my cereal as well as when treating myself!
I'm lactose intolerant so soy milk was my saving grace! Will rice milk be a better substitute if I'm not allowed soy milk? And I don't want to take any chances and eat things that are on the 'insufficient evidence' list as I have read elsewhere of people having hypertensive reactions with some of the foods listed.
Also, I'm a big stir-fry fan -- what do I use now for flavor?????? curry??? I used to use thick teriyaki and some soy sauce. aaaaahhhhhhhhh I can't eat japanese food anymore! I thought missing chocolate would be the worst, but this, this is torture!!!!!! *grin*
Thank you in advance for any suggestions ... greatly appreciated! :-)
