Going on VACATION!

Posted by Jennifer on August 11, 2000, at 4:21:21

Hey everyone...I'm outta here! I don't know that I'll get a chance to check in Friday night, so it's adios until the 23rd. My entire (and I mean ENTIRE) family is off to a few days of camping in Zion National Park in Utah...should be fun after a 1.5 day drive with all the little ones! Then another couple hours to Lake Powell next Tuesday to go houseboating for the week. (and sea-doos, and ski boating, and fishing, and hiking and floating on the river, and trying to sink my siblings with a major water gun) And I will, as last year, refuse to swing off the top of the ship from the hoist into the water. I'm not THAT crazy...I'll just watch and perform first aid!
No phone, no computer, no doorbells, no TV, no radio (except the weather update). I can't wait! Wish you all could come. I'll update when I'm back! Don't forget to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower, after midnight, Sat night/Sun am! Jennifer

Have fun Jennifer. I'll be looking at the same sky as you on Saturday. Pick a time (say 10pm to 10:30pm) and maybe we can see the same meteor. - Cam

I'm in on the meteor watch - Jennifer Cam

Hey Jennifer - Have a fantastic time!! Sounds like SUCH FUN!!

Cam -
I'll join in at 10 p.m. for the meteor watching. Thanks for mentioning it; I haven't been listening to the news etc, so didn't know about it.

Take care, both. Kath

Cam...I'll go for the 10:30, but we may not see much since the moon won't have set yet. If your up at 2:30am, I'll do a double look with you. I saw a falling fireball tonight here at home. First one ever! Cant' wait...7 hours to vacation. Thanks for the note. Jen
