Ya gotta JUST DO IT! Vipassana works best for me. I learned it at a ten-day course in Massachusetts.

Book that explains meditation technique is entitled "Vipassana- The Art of Living" by William Hart. Technique is nothing mystical and is totally sectarian (but based upon basic Buddhist philosophy). Simple technique, great results when learned properly and practiced daily.
