drinking and stimulants

I have been taking dexedrine for a few weeks now. Tonight I decided to have a glass of wine with dinner. I got so sick to my stomach I could't believe it. Is this from the combination of dex and wine? If so, would it be the same if I drank some other type of alcohol? thanks, elise

elise-
I take ritalin and when I drink white wine, I get a headache. If I drink red wine it doesn't effect me so much. But then I drink very little of it. Also, I only drink it after the meds have worn off.

I take Ritalin. The other night, I had a couple glasses of wine about a half hour after I had taken my last Ritalin of the day. My heart started beating way too fast, and I got a terrible headache in my temples. Not fun. Lesson learned (until I selectively forget the lesson, that is). In the past, I have had wine while taking Ritalin but did not take them in such close proximity to one another, and I had no problem. I guess we should all try to use discretion in our use of stimulants and alcohol. Take care!
