How can I tranlate from Italian?

Posted by AndrewB on June 9, 2000, at 11:46:11

I want to translate a rather technical piece on the clinical and pharmacological properties of the antidepressant amiuslpride. Any suggestions on how I can go about doing this?

There are a few translation software programs available for purchase, but the ones I've seen are pretty pricey ($150-$200). If you're going to use it a lot, it might be worth the investment.

Or.... you could use one of the many online Italian-English translations dictionaries available on the Internet, but you'll never get a clean translation that way.

My personal favorite would be to meet a nice Italian woman and get her to translate it for you... ;^)

Have a great day!

Peace,
Greg

Andrew -

I posted about this in the other thread where you mentioned it. The short version (I speak Italian): I found nothing new in the insert, and frankly, pretty minimal information - at least on the insert I received. I was disappointed, hoping for a bit more insight/info.

The best/most complete info I've found is the solian/amisulpride web site: http://solian.com.ph/

Let me know if I can help you w/any specifics re: the Italian.
Ciao again. michael

I am 2nd generation Italian and a lot of Italians are into geneology. If you tell me your town/city I can ask my mom for a contact there (depending on the size of your town).

Also, the Christopher Columbus group here is Italian.

Is there a Univ. near you? You might find an Italian language instructor, student, or someone from Italy who attends. Etc.

Good luck.
