hasta lumbago you all--
as some of you may recall, my first post to this group was about sleep and why i dont get much. the new pdoc-who TOLD me to do my netresearch before proceeding any further-asked me to look into seroquel because perhaps it is better to take a small amount of a heavier drug rather than huge amounts of less-heavy drugs. i need to hear from people who take it for sleep and if you're also on serzone, all the better.
rabidly awaiting your sage replies,
pcl

Paul,
I asked my pdoc about Seroquel last year. I was already taking Zyprexa and was wondering about a change. He basically guided me away from Seroquel in part because I was successful on Zyprexa and partly because of the side-effects.
Sorry that I can't help you with what good it might do for you but I have had great experience with Zyprexa.
Good Luck with whatever you decide.
Chris

> pclThe first time I took Seroquel, I took a dose of 25mg at bedtime. I blacked out, leaving my computer on and couldn't remember going to bed. I woke up feeeling hung over and could barely get out of bed. My doctor was surprised by this. Most people tolerate it better. So he had me try 12.5 mg at bedtime and smaller amounts throughout the day. This is working great for me and helps me with obsessive and intrusive thoughts. It also helps me sleep. Now that I've been on it awhile, I have gone up to 25mg at bedtime which I am tolerating fine. Good luck to you.
