dexedrine

So the provigil started to fizzle terribly and I started on 10mg. spansules dexedrine (so far 1 x a day). It's been great - I have been very productive and like getting out of my house for a change!!! The problem is that it seems as if the dexedrine wears off slowly about 7 hours later then i take it. This a.m. I took it at 9 a.m. and by 5:oo I would say it was pretty worn off --- not tired really, but just not as likely to do stuff as before. My brother takes all his dex in the a.m. and says it lasts him all day. I will speak to my doctor on Wed., but was wondering if anyone else has this problem and what they do about it. elise

drugs now are made to hit the "average person" a certain way but we all know there are very few if any "average people" so most medications effect everyone differantly and most of the differance goes unnoticed. The effectiveness of a med varies. I take Dex. but the regular which last approximately 4 hours per dose but the spansules lasted me only 6 hours. The problem with them lasting into the evening hours is that it might effect your sleep. It will get you going but depending on what you are takeing it for a SSRI might be a good addition.ASK YOUR DR.
Good luck!!!!

Elise,
I had better luck with taking the regular dexedrine tablets 3x day (7am, noon, 3pm) than with taking the spansules.
