I was put on effexor starting at 37.5 mg increasing to 110 mg. I felt immediate releif from my anxiety and depression but as this feeling leveled off my MD increased the dosage to 150 mg. Two days after I started my new dosage I began having a tingling sensation in my legs. This went on for about a month when I asked my MD about it. She was suprised and had not experienced this reaction. She reduced my dosage to 75 mg a day. Two weeks went by and no releif, in fact it got worse. I started having joint pain in my knees and ankles. She then decided to take me off of it completely. I experienced all of those horrible side effects I have heard people talk about. I am starting to feel better (after 3 weeks) but my legs are still the same. No one seems to know what or why?
Any ideas?

I'm still having leg pain which started during withdrawal and I've been off the med for a year.
Feel free to e-mail me personally.
