excercise depression

Hello:

I am a 55 year old male who has suffered from bouts of severe depression. I've got a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from National College of Chiropractic, but I am currently teaching in a secondary school. What irritates me about the current research, eg SMILE is the short time span and rather light level of exercise.
I've found that more frequent exercise with a higher level of intensity and done over a time span of months does have a really pronounced beneficial effect. It would obviously be more appropriate to do such research on a younger age group--college or grad. age who have done little exercise and are having academic difficulties due to depression. Perhaps such studies have been done. Do you know of any--maybe someone out in the great "webuniverse" would like to try some variations on this idea.

This is the end of the thread.
