hi everyone,
could anyone please let me know if they have been successful with 5-htp , paticularly regarding weight loss ?? also the same regarding st. johns wort

Don't think you can just pop some 5-HTP when you feel like it. It is a seratonin precursor and the body responds to it. You should use it under a knowledgable pdoc's care. It is not superior to say, Celexa for example, in my opinion.. and I've tried them both. Taking 5-HTP incorrectly, in my opinion, could possibly create more anxiety. The big question is "Why do you feel that you need to take 5-HTP?" Ask that question to an appropriate pdoc and get a program (that may or may not include 5-HTP) that is right for you. Peace.
