***Thought I'd re-post this, as my original post last
night is now in the April 20 collection***

OK, I took care of that today, Noa. Now, a problem.

When I went into the hospital in Feb. I filed the
paperwork for FMLA. I have not received a response
telling me my request was accepted or denied. Should
I have received a response? At my workplace we have
gone thru 3 HR managers in the past year. Presently,
one of the in-house accountants is filling in.

Today I got a call from the shop manager. He said
he was told by the President of the Co. to get my
vehicle. One of my perks is a new (99) vehicle. It
has been setting in my driveway these past few months.
It seems odd that the Pres would take it back
just 2 days after I met with my boss, the Executive
VP, to discuss my return. The Exec VP left on
vacation last evening, out of state, so I can not
ask him about it. I called the Pres but he is 'in
meetings all day' and can't take my call.

Is anyone familiar with FMLA? And especially with
the employer's responsibilities and obligations?

I'm angry now. The Pres and I have butted heads
regularly over the past 7 years. The Exec VP has
usually been my ally. I worked hard to earn the
privilege of a company vehicle and it's probably
worth $4000.00 per year, especially since the Co.
also supplies the gasoline for my 100 mile a day
commute.

I thought I was protected by the law but now I'm
not certain.

I'd appreciate any advice.

Not sure that I can help you, Harry, since I don't know your exact problem, but see my post under Noa's above regarding the FMLA.
