The ususal 40# on Paxil after long-term use. It quit working (BIG TIME!!) after 6 years. Now on Celexa for 8 weeks, steadily gaining weight or just holding even if eating very small amounts of food and exercising daily. HELP!!! I am doing the "Potatoes Not Prozac" program with hopes of weaning off drugs. Life threatening depression coupled with persistent weight gain is leading to HOPELESSNESS.

I can't tell, after only a few weeks on it, if Celexa causes weight gain for me or not. It's not supposed to. I'm hoping the Wellbutrin that I take will counteract any weight gain potential from Celexa. It seems to get a lot of anecdotal discussion on newsgroups, yet Celexa is supposed to be weight-neutral in the studies.
I DO notice the perspiration problem. I take in the p.m., and woke up in a cold sweat twice last night.
Most irritating. I'm hoping it will go away.
