Thomas, talk to your pdoc about increases. When I started it, I took 37.5 mg/day for a week, then 75 mg/day for a week, then increased it to l50 mg/day, then after a month 300 mg/day, and now 375 mg/day. Haven't experienced any sounds, screams, or visuals so don't know if that's Effexor or Ambien. Would talk to your pdoc. Also, your spelling is very good! You write much better in English than I would in Swedish!--Cindy W

I would definitely talk to your doctor about the hallicunations. At my last appointment, my doctor asked if I had any of those effects (audio or visual), or any "other psychotic symptoms" while taking effexor xr.I may have misunderstood her, but I thought I should pass that along, just in case I got that right... Good luck.
