I have taken far too much bandwidth here. Someone please give me a final verdict on whether I should remain a part of these discussions, and what I can do to be helpful and productive here. The good news for me is that the more I feel useful, the less I feel the need for self-immolation. One thing I have learned is to attempt to ignore one known as "eric." (He of the "You need ECT,", "grow up," etc. comments.

> From the Polygram release, Hemispheres, Rush 1978Vesper, tho I havent really been involved in your posts, I know that your presence here is important to everyone. I think you should stay as long as you want. The ppl here on the board care for you and your problems and want to help you all they can. Just be sure to ignore all the a hole ppl who try to bring you down! Gonna get those anywhere ppl are together trying to help each other. You stick around and keep typing, doing so helps you straighten things out in your mind. You will have good days and you will have bad days that seem you are right back at the bottom with no place to go. Just stick with it and keep in therapy and soon you will start to see that light! We are all rooting for you!! Sarah....

from what I can tell, we all seem to like you here at Babble-land Vesper. But even more than this, we all want you to feel much better.
From reading everyone's posts to you, I believe we are all in agreement that you need hands-on, immediate help - the kind we can't give you at Psycho-babble.
Please get a little bit better and come back. Not many people come to the board enough to give you the kind of attention you need.
So many people have responded to you that don't usually even post messages or long messages. We feel for you very much, but we are unable to help you the way you most likely need to be helped right now.
Love your friend, and someone that only wants the very best for you, Janice.

Hey Vesper,
I usually don't respond to many of the posts on this board either, but I do like to hang around and read. I have been following your posts, and I agree with you that you have been getting a lot of unnecessary flack. Please try to ignore it and sooner or later it will go away. I wish only the best for you, and keep your chin up. I agree with Sara, I don't think anyone should be banned from the board when all they did is cry out for help.~Sherry

There can't be a "final" verdict because it depends on in what way you participate. To be helpful and productive, just reach out to someone else and try to support them (and not to criticize them, two wrongs don't make a right).
