Could anyone who has had ect please comment on his or her experience with short and long-term memory loss, changes in ability to concentrate, and changes in ability to learn new things? I have been unable to find effective meds and I am considering ect but afraid of the potential mental status changes that people describe happening occasionally. Has ect worked for you long-term, or just for a few weeks? Thank you very much!
