Didn't Harry B. abruptly announce that he was leaving the board without giving a reason? I think this was after he and some other Babblers met Dr. Bob, who was attending a conference. He'd posted some pictures of those who met, so maybe he still has a web site. It would take a lot of searching through the archives, but his URL might be in there.

***************************
And, as always, a call to Harry B., who I still miss great big bunches.

Rach,
Thank you so much for finding and posting that message. It sort of helps to remember he did say goodbye.

No probs. I also tried to find the postings about when they had the real life meeting, to see if Harry posted anything about how it was, but I couldn't find it.

Too much time on my hands... :)

Thanks Judy. How is your little one? Snuggle her up for me. I am not here much. Sometimes I lurk and think about you guys and pray. It is really hard for me to post. Today I read a little bit and got my buttons pushed - and I don't even believe in allowing my buttons to be pushed! Perhaps it is hypomanic irritability. OTOH, the current stressors might cause any person to be on edge. My daughter hasn't decided whether to keep her baby or not and her rapist is still on the loose (protect your daughters)! My husband and son are, well, that's classified. I get tears in my eyes everytime I think about them and hope to see them safe and sound soon. If this sounds tagential and disjointed that's because it is. You've always been so kind.

Blessings,

Chris A.

It sounds as if you have a LOT going on. I hope you're getting support- therapist?, family, minister or friends? I completely understand if you don't want to write about what's going on with your husband and son- but my prayers are with them. What a tough situation for you and your daughter - it sounds like she has a very difficult decision to make. But I know you must be very supportive and I'm sure she will do what's right for her and her child. Please take care of yourself- judy

I be here! Talk about "old" memories ( now this is a conundrum) I don't mean memories of things past, and I don't mean memories of old people... I mean people who may (or not) have memory issues, due to meds, stress, afflictions, ....
crips. Now I forgot what I was going say!

Thanks, Sweetie....
Yes, things are going well. The depression is non-existent, but I'm on hyper-vigilance right now. The three deaths in our family occurred in the fall and I'm very anniversary sensitive. Yesterday was the date of my father's death nine years ago. Don't know why it hit so hard this year, but it did. We've talked about tears before and I'd love to cry a gusher but my "tear control mechanism" goes on instantly when the tears bubble to the surface. It's like the seatbelt. If you jerk forward too fast, the seatbelt locks into place. Same thing. So I get to cry my normal three tears . . .

Hi Shar,

It is nice to 'see' you too. I'm fine thanks, how are you? Summer is almost here in this part of the world, the other day we had 38c - man it was hot. Not used to it yet, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

I guess its getting colder in your part of the world, do you get snow in winter???

Best wishes,
Deb.

Hi Shar, I'm doing pretty well. Went through a very difficult situation - don't know if you read posts at Haven. If so, you'll know.

My 26-year old daughter was married on June 21st. Her husband, Frank, had terminal cancer but had treatment & they moved to Nova Scotia. In mid-September, after 2 weeks of radiation & 2 weeks getting over it, he developed pneumonia & died within a day! I flew out from Ontario the same day. It was such a tragedy.

"Lily" moved back to Ontario to the town where they'd lived. she has a job, & a cute little apartment in the upstairs of a house. I feel so badly for her.

On the other hand, my 18 1/2 year old son, who has been sort of the "bane of my existence" for about 4 years has got a job; is being most respectful & cooperative & is FINALLY developing some maturity. I am starting to think that he might actually NOT become a drug-using street person!!!!! Thank god!!!

How are ya, Shar?

Good to hear from ya Coral!

Hi Deb & all. love, Kath

Hello All...

Don't know if anyone'll remember me - I haven't been here in a Long time - but...

I was passing through/stopping to take a look around again, and it was nice to see a bunch of names that I remember, (from when I used to spend a lot of time here!) and thought I'd say hi. Thanks for all of the good info, feedback, advice, etc. that you've offered in the past!

(seems like most of the "action" is still on the other/main board?)

I probably won't be here a lot, (and will probably end up doing more lurking than posting when I do pass through) but I'm going to try to be better about taking a look from time to time...

Hope each of you is doing well - or at least better.

michael

M,
Hi, and welcome to the old-timer's board. I'm glad you stopped in, and hope you will again when you're passing through. You're right about the other boards having the most action.

It sounds like you are doing well. If you become a more regular visitor I imagine you'll have a lot to offer people because of your experience.

Take it easy,
Shar
