re: your admin post. I remember when we did work out our 'misunderstandings'. Was that because it was so much smaller then?- judy

I don't know Judy, could be. I don't think there's that many active posters than there were a few years ago. The med board is really booming and I'm so impressed at the knowledge that some of the people have there.

Let me ask you, and if you don't want to answer I understand, do you think we have too many rules now? I really liked it when we were allowed to handle problems among ourselves and Bob only stepped in when things got too far out of hand.

Maybe you can't go home again, but it sure does suck to see so many unhappy people.

BTW, thanks for saying I was right, I don't get to hear that very often :)

Greg

according to you anyway.........;^)

I definitely think there are too many rules. I think, if Bob really wants this to be "research", he should scrap the admin board and let things just take their natural course. We did just fine before the adminn board came along and how is it supposed to be accurate psycho-research if he keeps stepping in to squash normal debate and discussion?

I guess I do think the warnings have gotten a little heavy only because I'm able to compare it to a few years ago. If I didn't feel safe, I certainly would let Dr. Bob know- honestly right now I can think of only one occasion, and it wasn't a regular poster- and he deleted the post. Otherwise I think we treated each other with respect, and were able to work out our problems. I also think we may have been better informed, but of course we had Cam and you and other regulars who were really knowledgeable. I also think psych material (versus meds) is more prominent now then in the past, and maybe that's why there's more disagreements? I don't know, I'm just hoping this is a temporary crisis and it too shall pass. Take care, judy

I think perhaps this is all happening because the board has grown so much. It was great to have our little family in the beginning, but like all good things the popularity has grown. It has been going on for a long time now, and I don't think any of us want to give up that family closeness or the immense support that occurred. Now it is very hard with so many people; it's almost impossible to keep up with everyone's past story, especially when there are bits and pieces strewn throughout 9 different boards.

There are so many rules now because there are so many people, and it was much easier when you knew everyone to be able to work out any problems. I understand Bob's POV, it must be overwhelming for him.

I wonder if maybe the whole site should be scaled back...

9 boards is a huge number. Make admin about admin stuff; when the little new signs don't work, when your post doesn't show, and not about what civility means or posters challenging other posters or Dr Bob. Move Tele and Psycho-Psycho back into PB. Move Book and Faith back into PBS. Combine the two OTs board. 4 boards would make Dr Bob's life easier, and be less confusing. But I guess I moved off the track, its not really the point at all. Oh well. Rambling mind.

So is Tina...

"All good things come to an end Rach."

Perhaps this doesn't only apply to ASH...

For some reason...

I keep thinking of Mr. Spock's dying words- the good of the whole outweighs the good of the one (something to that effect). That most definitely has been forgotten here, but I'm optimistic at Dr. Bob's last post. Take care, judy

I believe Spock said 'the hole of the good weighs more than one of the good ones.' and then he said "80Q3!@D#45M$98OLL%45^&@0520_06%00=4-|:<40-04[[60ZP4**BT^~084."
