I know this may be a bit off the usual subject, but I defy anyone who has had a recent romantic breakup to listen to Brook Benton's "Rainy Night in Georgia" without a tear coming to their eye. I cannot stop myself from turning the lights off and listening to it over and over. Am I going nuts or what ?

No Doug, you're not going nuts. That is a great song sung by a great singer.
I think that Tony Joe White wrote that song.
Tony Joe's only hit was Polk Salad Annie-not remembered by many. Too bad, my brother in law was his drummer.Phil
