Do ssris block the action of lsd, ecstacy and related psychedelics and possibly totally negate their effects?

SSRIs can block the effects of LSD, yes. More commonly, the effects of the LSD are just decreased. MAOIs can do the same.
I believe they can cause the effects of MDMA to be decreased as well, although MDMA is not structurally or pharmacologically similar to LSD.

Correct, AD's are often reported to block (sometimes totally) the psychedelic side of MDMA et al.
