I have been on Paxil for 4 weeks(previously on prozac
for 10 years). Currently I am experiencing some varied
neurological symptoms, such as numbness on a small area
of my face and hyperreflexia. Has this been seen in
other people on Paxil? If so, how long after I go off
the Paxil should the symptoms resolve? Thanks!

Can you list all the symptoms? It might be something serious, it might not.
Also, how long have you had these symptoms?

2 weeks. It has gone away since I've stopped
taking paxil. I noticed the hyperreflexia about 1
month before the facial numbness occured. It
seems like the hyperreflexia is decreasing but is
still there. But it is hard to check this objectively
on myself. Thanks for your response.

If it's decreasing, that's a good sign. Trust your judgment on this unless some specific test proves otherwise.
2 questions:
(1) what are you being treated for? (depression, panic disorder, OCD, anxiety, etc.)
(2) what do you do for a living? (curious because the word "hyperreflexia" doesn't usually come up in casual conversation. :-)
This is the end of the thread.
