I was wondering if anyone here has problems with palpitations? I get them way too often. I went to the hospital back in October of last year for them and they said my heart was fine. I get them at least 50 times a day. They dont hurt and I dont feel bad I just feel like a little flutter and then a little puond to get back to the right beat. I hate them but I know they wont hurt me because I have had my heart checked 2 times last year for it. Its just annoying. I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. I also hope you are all doing well. As far as the Lexapro is concerned I am doing really good on it. I have been on it for almost 6 months. Take care all you yo yos and God bless all of you. Ali

You'll see. There is a reason for everything, so getting married in August is how it is supposed to be. I will keep you in my prayers. Mrs. C

Hi Ali,
Yes, of course I have palpitations. They are called PVC's. They are premature beats and are supposed to be harmless. I get them in cycles. When I am in a cycle I get them several times a day for days. I was in one just a few weeks back. Every time I am in a cycle they totally freak me out and then they just go away. Stress, caffeine, hormones, all triggers for them. Apparently alot of us get them cause many people posted to me that they do. Try not to worry (that's really ironic coming from me by the way). Hey Guys, I am worried about Mystic. She posted yesterday that she was not feeling well and had contacted her doctor. I haven't heard from her since despite my email to her telling her that I was worried. She always writes me back and I am very concerned. If anyone has heard from her, please, please let me know. My personal email is pamandart @ verizon.net. Thanks, Mrs. C (Pam)

I used to get them with the anxiety. But when the anxiety died down, so did the palpitations. I don't think it is anything serious.

Hey Ali,

Yes I do get the palps too and I have also been to the heart doctor several times and there is nothing wrong with my heart but it is so annoying and nerve racking because even though I know my heart is fine it still makes me nervous.

However, since taking the lexapro they have become less frequent I must say and I think that is just because I am less anxious. so to answer your question - yes I get them and I think some other people in here get them too.

take care and don't worry,
anxious babe

Ahhh . . . you guys are the best. In case you are wondering, I will be turning 39 . . . again:~)

I look forward to one of your wonderful cakes, lexy - the last one was superb!!

And, Simus, I can't wait to see the ice sculpture. Oh, and Al will enjoy partying with Mel again; they get along so *swell*.

Mystic . . . are we gonna get to hear "Heidi and the Mystics" again?? You sound sooo lovely together.

Trucker, I know you will bring Jack, but . . . will we get to actually *see* you this time, huh?? I don't know where you took off to last time, but people were sure talking.

Mrs. C . . . you better be careful, cuz I heard that Jon has been secretly stalking you and if hubby finds out, well I don't know if Jon will give up so easily and it could get nasty. However, if he happens to show up at the party looking for you, I am sure I can find some time to *take care* of him while Al and Mel are in the men's room talking about making their next million.

Ok, all you yo-yo's you can see that it is going to be the party-to-end-all-parties tomorrow, so I hope you all come and help me celebrate my 39th birthday (for the 16th time!)

Guys, I am extremely worried about Mystic. I had an email from her that she wrote this evening but it was not very good. All she did was give out her phone #. No explanations about what has been going on and nothing about the muscle aches she was having. I have practically begged her for a response but so far...nothing. It's just not like her and honestly, her email sounded almost like she had been drinking or something. I have to go away tomorrow for the weekend and will not be in touch until Sunday. I pray for my good friend. Mrs. C

I don't think Mystic will mind if I tell you all... She did write a few of us tonight.

First of all, this was her previous post here on Babble:

"I've had a terrible day obsessing..i was on bactrim for 2 days and this morning i woke up and have this terrible terrible ache in both my legs only when i stand up and try to stay standing and my left arm when I straighten it out and it is driving me crazy..I have called both my gyno and my regular primary nurse and she said oh it could be the bactrim but not a usual side effect..that makes me feel better..so if i stroke out tonight or have a heart attack then glad to have met all of you..dont you hate obsessing and it is sooooo worse when you just know that there is something wrong and they might not believe you because you are on lex..not that it is my experience that this happens just I dont know peranoid..anyone else paranoid about these things in here..hahahah of course we are..well thanks for listening..your freind mystic...I'm going to bed..."

Well, she has been in the hospital since Tuesday but she came home tonight. They ran tests but couldn't find what was wrong. She still cannot stand (I think it is from dizziness - not sure. She is going to the doctor tomorrow. She is quite drugged and understandably "down".

This is the end of her e-mail: "to sick to keep going with the writint gybe didn want you all to worry I lovya ou all veryr much your youyyo heidihi"

So I am asking everyone here to please pray for her during this rough time. She has always been here for all of us when we needed it, even when she was so sick herself. Thanks in advance.

You are our special angel, and god is watching over you, and he will send a special angel to comfort you. Don't you worry about us, we will be fine and we will all be waiting here for you when you get better.

hi guys,
I get the palpitations too. Like Mrs. C., mine comes in 'waves.' I can goes weeks or months w/o any, then suddely they'll start and I'll get a few a day until they suddenly go away again.

For me, I've noticed they're more prevalent around PMS-time (what a wonderful addition to an already impressive array of fun symptoms! ha!)

Sometimes they come when I think I'm stressed, but sometimes also when I don't think I'm particularly stressed.

It has helped SO MUCH to hear about other people who have them. In 'real life' I don't know that many people who do (ok, none!) and it's not something I feel comfy bringing up in standard convo ("yes, that movie WAS great. Hey, my heart is doing that skip beat thing again! Do you guys think I'm going to drop down dead in a few?") I can only imagine the looks I'd get. I really don't think people would understand, even though that IS how worried I get.

It's nice to meet people here who understand. By the way, my doc also said they are harmless, and I also don't fully believe that and continue to stress about them. HOpefully this will calm down soon...

You'll be ok! :)
