Hey Anakin, your post really made me laugh. I quit smoking because I was so afraid of the diseases that I was warned about. I also stopped going to the tanning salons in the spring because of skin cancer but I will tan in the real sunlight! I'm weird that way. I have a mole on my leg that I have been worrying about lately and I put sunscreen all over it when we went to fla last month. Now I have this little white spot on my thigh! Pretty silly! I still worry about all of these things! My doctor today told me not to worry about the blood pressure because mine is always normal and I was probably just nervous. I had to laugh because telling me not to worry is like telling me not to breathe. I am in therapy now to try to overcome this problem. Thanks for replying. How's everything with you these days? mrs. C

> I fell asleep - sound asleep - at a stoplight the other day!
When I was on Lex, I nodded off actually driving down the road more than once. When my head dropped, it would wake me up. Thank God I neither hurt myself or anyone else! It was wierd. There was little warning that I was tired enough to fall asleep.
> I also rear-ended someone at an intersection this weekend (not bad, I was just rolling to a stop & didn't stop far enough away from her van!) due to feeling foggy & not paying attention.
I hated that foggy feeling, and I was afraid of causing an accident too.
> I want to call my doctor, but feel like I'm just being a whiny hypochondriac and should just deal with it! But the 2 above incidents make me think I better do something.
Please do something. It's better than looking back and saying, "I wish I would have...".
> It sort of feels good to write out all the stuff that is going on.=)

Nope, my client is a pathological gambler. I had to diagnose him and plan treatment. I think we should be famous though. How's that Oprah thing panning out? Has anyone actually contacted her? Hmmmmm. Mrs. C

Hey Lexy, good to hear from you. My client is a pathological gambler. Easy to diagnose but planning for treatment has me stumped because he is in jail. I have been researching but have been coming up empty for people in prison. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
You go girl! with that modeling job. You must be pretty hot stuff. Oh to be young again! See ya. mrs. C

Hi EM, I have been on lex about six months now. I still have the "brain farts" daily. Is that what you are talking about. Kind of like losing your mind but then it comes back in a second or two!? I wouldn't worry too much about it unless its is really bothering you. Maybe you'll have to try a different time to take your lex or try another med altogether. Just my thoughts. mrs. C

Hi Mrs. C. - I just happen to work for a company that manages the healthcare in prisons and jails. Mental Health, of course, is a big part of what we do. I'm a recruiter. I think you said you are in New York. I can give you the names of some people to contact who can tell what sort of treatment plans are available for the incarcerated. Do you want me to email the info. to you? I think that would be better than me posting all their names and numbers on this site. You can reach me at Ldavis at cmsstl dotcom.

Hi Em - I have the fogginess too. I've been on Lex for 6 months or so. I switched my time to mid-afternoon since that is when I am most alert, thinking that my natural awake time would counteract it. I'm still too foggy for my liking, but I sleep better now, my insomnia is pretty much gone. So, playing around with the time may help a bit. I'm going to call my doctor about it though. I don't want to switch meds either, but maybe there's something else I can add. I'll let you know if I find out anything spectacularly helpful!

Mrs. C we would be trouble together... I am the same way... I put sunscreen on my moles, too...I guess a white spot it better than something bad!

It depends upon how severe the fogginess is. If it is something you can live with and you feel good otherwise then I say stick with it. I do sometimes feel a little foggy in the mornings but it is very short lived. Nothing that really bothers me. I do still feel some mild side effects from the med but not every day and nothing too bad. Bye for now. Mrs. C
