maybe the feeling of crashing is your body getting used to the dose, i can't say cause i probbably know way less about this than any of you do. But in any case, maybe you should talk to your doctor about this and dont take this 'slipup' as a sign that you are not going to get better. I know you will be fine, somehow i know in my heart that we all will, things are just that much harder for us, but in the end it will be that much more rewarding.
I love you guys too *Sniff* ;)
we mirror eachother in such a way although we are all different and come from differnt lives.i'm feeling a bit better today, although i was feeling anxious at a resteraunt tonite, i kept my mind off of it cause my bf was making me laugh.
:):)
Hope u feel better.

I'm sorry that I made light of your situation; no offense, okay?
After I read your post again, I realized that you are really in a difficult situation with your taxes, and maybe I shouldn't have answered the way I did. I'm sorry life has been so hard for you, and I hope that you will find a ray of sunshine soon.

Mystic, I am so sorry that you have to go through this added stress. I have had so many friends who had spots show up on their tests, and it turned out to be something minor. I know that your mind won't rest until you know what it is, though. It will help if you can find something to keep you busy this weekend - do you have anything that needs to be painted? or maybe spring-cleaned?
God bless you, Mystic. I will be praying for you.

In reply to Re: Lexapro - Need Support, posted by seatgti on April 2, 2004, at 9:40:19
Hey, Andy, you've come to the right place to find good support. These Lexaproers are the best, and they will make you feel very welcome.
I am in my 8th week of Lex; at 10mg for 5wks, then increased to 15mg because symptoms were returning full force. The increase most definitely made a difference. I am planning to increase to 20mg once my s/e's diminish a little more. If it hadn't been for the encouragement I have received on this board, I would have given up by now.
You mentioned that your doc is on vacation; is there an on-call physician that you can get in to see earlier than May? (most doc's don't leave their patients stranded while they are gone.) Most everyone here is taking something along with the Lex for anxiety or other s/e's. I take 1mg Lorazepam for the insomnia. There should be an answer to help you cope, if your doc will understand.
We all go up and down and sometimes *upside down* on this journey through the unknown, but if we all hold hands, we can help pull each other upright again eventually.
Hang in there! Glad you're here:~)
((((good feelings))))

Lexy, hang on girl, you're gonna be okay. I know that feeling when you worry yourself to tears. I have been there many, many times in the past. You are going through many life changes right now plus a recent increase in your meds. Your depression is not going to come back permanently. It's normal to have setbacks so try not to worry yourself with your feelings right now. This will pass and you will be back to your self soon. In the meantime, try to relax by doing something that makes you happy. I will be praying for all of us tonight, but especially you and Mystic. Mrs. C

EM, I am so glad to hear you sounding so much better! You have been a wonderful addition to this board and you seem to be a very caring person. We all have become a family and it hurts when any of us are feeling low. Peace of mind is such a precious gift and may we all be blessed with it soon. Mrs. C

Trucker, I am sorry that you are feeling so low today. It's very stressful to have financial problems. Have you consulted a CPA? It sure doesn't seem to me that you should owe so much money, but I'm no expert. Sounds like alot of us are having a difficult time tonight. I will be praying for all of you. Mrs. C

CPA IS WHO SSAID WE OWED THAT MUCH... I TOLD 'EM THAT THERE IS NO WAY... WE DON'T HAVE TWO PENNIES TO RUB TOGETHER. HE SAID BETTER PAY... HE THEN SAID WE COULD FILE AN INJUNCTION. WHAT EVER THAT MEANS. TO CUT IT BACK SOME. I HATE SPRING. NOT ONLY MY B-DAY, BUT RAIN, AND GLOOM, AND TAXES, AND THE TIME OF YEAR MY SON SHOULD HAVE BEEN BORN. I'M JUST FULL OF JOY... THEN I WENT TO THE DOC THE OTHER DAY AND SHE SAID SHE WANTS TO TEST ME FOR PCOS POLYCISTIC OVAIRIAN SYNDROM. SAID THIS PROBABLY PLAYED A FACTOR IN SUGAR, DEAD BABY, HAIR ON FACE, TAGS ON NECK, AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER THINGS. AND MOST DOCS DON'T KNOW TO THINK ABOUT IT OR CHECK FOR IT. AND IT CAN AND WILL CAUSE WEIGHT GAIN AND MISSCARRIAGES STILL BIRTHS, HEART TROBLE, AND A BUNCH OF OTHER STUFF. IF YOU ARE HAVING DIFFICULT PERIODS AND ANY OF THESE OTHER SYMPTOMS YOU SHOULD ASK YOUR DOC TO CHECK FOR PCOS ....WETHER YOU ARE TRYING TO GET PREGNANT OR NOT.

> Hey Andy,
> Welcome to the board and our lexapro family. I was convienced that I did not need more than 10mg of lexapro and stuck it out for 10 weeks. I saw some good results but in no way was past my depression, which was so discouraging. I went up to 15 for about two weeks and then went up to 20 (just staring my second week.) For about the past month I have been feeling pretty darn good. I have had a bad couple days but it has been really cold and rainy here for the past week plus I am in my last 3 weeks (22 days!) of graduate school and at this point am so stressed I am proud to be able to remember my name!
> Andy, I would not be afraid to up the dosage of lexapro, I only wish I had done it sooner.
> PS.. what part of the UK are you from? I love traveling and have been quite a few places over there!
> Good luck , God bless and please keep in touch!
> Lexy
Hey Lexy and EmilyThank you for your words of advice and encouragement. I am hoping that uping my dose is really gonna work for me. Need something to get me through the 6 weeks its gonna take to see a therapist. Hope you and all the other lexapro people are ok and on the road to recovery.
I am from a mid sized town in North East England called Scunthorpe. You'd probably have to look it up on a map not many people have heard of it.Take care everyone

> truckerI was just thinking the same thing, myself. I just took a shower - got some yard work done today. Don't feel up to getting dressed again, so I guess the shopping will have to wait until tomorrow. (it's only 6:30pm here)
My head feels kind of fuzzy inside. I think I could go to bed right now and probably sleep til noon tomorrow. But I know better than to try that; always feels worse to sleep too much.
How is the weather where you are? It has been sunny and warm here; pretty windy, tho.
