Hey Girls,
Unfortunatley, it is the general thought that the meds do not work as well before our lovely time of the month. I know Mrs C., LynneDa, KathrynLex and I have had that convo many times!!! However, the cycles do seem to get better as the months go on. The first month I was a wreck, second month tearful and moody but better, this month I have been irriatable but not crying or snapping, Ive got about 5 days to go and am doing OK. I am hoping that as time goes on they cycles continue to improve. Hope this helps!!!!
God Bless,
Lexy

yeah thats how i tottaly feel, its like consitant anxiety/spaciness although it isnt always strong and it makes me feel as though the meds have turned their backs on me or so to speak..i know that i have to increase my dose soon too. I got my 'time of the month' today so i hope it was only that which has been causing this feeling. Thanks Lexy for the info about how we werent the only ones who noticed this, and it does help knowing that this too will get better. I am starting the BC pill this month so i hope this will too help.
Thanks for the posts Em and Lexy, it feels so much better knowing that its normal.
;)

Hi...
I usually feel a lot better after the first day of my period! Hope you do to, the months progress it gets better. Mag.. BE CAREFUL about the birth control pill, I took allese 28 and it is the reason I had to get on lexapro in the first place. I had never had a depression symptom in my life until that pill! Make sure your doc. knows whats going, Allese broke my life and I am now picking up the pieces!!!!

Hey Lexy, i was worried about going on the pill because back when i first started with anxiety/depression was 5 years ago and i was on the pill at the time and i tottaly stoped cause i didnt want to have any drugs in my system, i became very medicine-phobic which i am getting better at and is one of the reasons why i am going to try taking them again. I never have taken alesse but i dont think it was the pill that caused my anxiety(but you never know).
Can i ask how long you were on them before you started getting these horrible side effects?
i am going to monitor how i feel after taking them for a while and i did tell my doctor that i am going on these, i was very concerned about it.the ones i am trying now are called Triquilar 28, my sister has had good experince with these and suggested them to me.
:)thanks for the heads up, i always get funny looks when i raise concerns about the pill:P

hey guys...im on apri 28 (bc pills) and have been since i was 20 (26 now). i have never had problems with anxiety from the meds...i had it way before that...lol. i think if you try to be on a low-dose estrogen one (ask your gyno) they may have fewer s/e's.
i feel so spaced out today! tomorrow should be the first day of my period...but i was so anxious today i almost called my do! em

Apparently, Dr. Bob sent them out again. This time the 2 cops sat with me for quite some time, trying to decide what to do. I was a good girl, though, and they couldn't find a reason to haul me off.
I guess they had been looking for me earlier in the day. Then they went to the apartment office and stated they needed to find me on an urgent matter. THEN they called my next of kin, who is my mum. Scared her half to death.
The police said that if they couldn't find me, they were going to put out an all-points-bulletin for me.
Is this over now, Dr. Bob? I would like my privacy back again.

Sandy, did they actually say that Dr. Bob sent them? I could be that it is their policy to follow up on something like this??
Do you know how to post to the Psycho Babble Administration Board? You might get a faster answer from Dr. Bob that way.
I'm so sorry you are having to go through all this. Were your children there this time? Is your mother all right?
Are YOU all right? My heart goes out to you. ...jlynne

Yes, it was from Dr. Bob. They showed me his email and letterhead. And it was a different message that I had posted from the message shown me by the night policemen.
Yes, the kids were here but I just asked them to go to their bedrooms.
My folks are okay NOW. They fretted all afternoon, and were in the process of changing their plans for tomorrow.
Has anyone heard from Simus yet?Sandy

It would be great if you'd let us know, but what if that meant more police? I hope you understand if I worry about you deciding you'd rather not be saved...

Are you sure? I only sent one message.

Sandy, I have checked all the other boards periodically, and I have not seen Simus posting on any of them. I'm not sure what to think.
She seems to be a very spiritual woman, like yourself, so I am hoping that she has someone from her church to turn to.
And I want to add that, in spite of all the commotion you had to endure last night and today, I am sure glad that you are all right. (I would have thought that that was made clear last night, though!) You seem to be taking all of it very well, and I look forward to seeing more of your sense of humor in the future. God bless. ...jlynne

Good golly, don't everybody all get in a tither here.
I'm fine. I'm very, very, very tired......but I'm fine. I could drop on my feet right now. I'm all tuckered out.
I hope nobody minds if I go to bed early tonight.

Thank you.

Hello everyone...Not feeling well tonight ...Did have my root canal and have a terrible migraine and very anxious and depressed...The posts seem to have gotten a little out of control in here...It is very upsetting...I feel that the way the letters were going and the things that were being said at that time everyone was sooooo upset and we try to come to these posts to get comfort and try to figure out how to get through a hard time..we are trying to help people...Helping people is trying to figure out when there is a crisis and from the sounds of those posts there was definately a crisis and there were things being said that any person would be worried about and we all were..Mrs C.. was worried...Em was worried we were all worried...It was very scary and to feel guilty about caring and wanting to help someone is not what I came to the posts to do...
Dr. Bobs job is to monitor what is going on and to make sure things are ok and everyone should know this when they begin posting...So to blame him for reacting to a situation is very harsh...He did what he thought again because of what was said in the posts It was scary...To continue to write his nasty posts and questioning him I think is wrong...
I guess I am going to take a break for a bit I guess I'm just a little confused as to what to do when a situation like this happens..I know that I wouldnt want to be the one saying shoulda coulda woulda...
I'm sorry just was feeling upset about all the posts and wanted to get it off my chest...I'm anxious and very emotional about it I had a very very close friend commit suicide and will never forgive myself for not knowing or doing something just thought she would come out of it as she always did...now her son will never ever know what a wonderful special person his mother was...
I hope that everything settles down and gets back to normal..I'm just not getting any comfort from the posts and might take a brake...I hope everyone feels better soon and take good care of yourselves....Your friend Mystic

mystic, i understand. as much as i wish the best for sandy and everyone, i am not in a state now where i can help someone with a situation like that. i love to discuss how everyone's doing on lex and i will continue to do that, you are all godsent, but i do not feel equipped to deal with this situation and it very much increased my anxiety today. sorry to anyone that might be offended by this. i'll still be around and you all have helped me more than you know, but i will no longer be commenting/replying to the bob/sandy/police situation. i hope you all understand.

Emily I certainly understand. I also am in no position to help someone out. I can pray for her and hope she is okay. I really do hope she is okay.
I am having alot of anxiety today and nervousness. I am on day 20 of 10 miligrams of lex. I hope that it gets better soon. The depression is going away, thank God but the anxiety and nervousness isnt. I am not gonna give up on this yet. I have an angel helping me. She has been a God send. Thank you angel!!! : ) Oh by the way the angel is Mystic.

Hey Ya'll
This whole situation has gotten out of hand. I mean, until yesterday we were a supporting family to each other now we are all leaving the board because it is not helping us but harming us, making us worry, ect. This is really sad to me. I hate to see it go this way. Maybe we could just move on from the whole situation and get on with our postings. If we see something that seems to be anxiety/depression provoking either state so or or just do not read. I would hate to see our little group fall apart but I feel this is the way its going.
God Bless if I do not hear from you all again,
LExy

lexy, i agree. i wasn't saying i was leaving, just that i'm not equipped to deal with a serious situation involving someone who needs more help than i can give on this board. i really hope to continue posting with you, mystic, susie, mag, kathryn, lynne, etc...i just cant deal with the other situation.
i'm still here, anxiously pms-ing as before :)
